Madison/Pittsburgh S.E. KOA

Travel through the Allegheny Mts was beautiful and we were delighted to have 3 tunnels to go through instead of climbing each peak. The trees are beautiful this time of year with yellow, orange, and red leaves waving in the wind. We passed through Somererset with the tallest dome topped courthouse in PA, Stoystown Burrough, and Mt. Ararat as we headed to a side trip. We took Lincoln Hwy to the Flight 93 National Memorial.
The Flight 93 National Memorial is in memory of the 40 passengers and 7 crew members that lost their lives on 9/11. The memorial is a reverent place with a grove of trees representing those lost, interactive displays, and a walkway to overlook the field where the plane went down. God Bless America 🇺🇸
This KOA is very nice with few campers this time of year. There are many options for kids and probably stays full during the summer.
