Cape Ann Campground

A beautiful, mild day of travel without rain is welcome. We arrived to Gloucester by early afternoon and checked into Cape Ann Campground, site 185. As we were setting up Albert found a white fuzzy caterpillar. Kevin read a warning not to touch these because they're poisonous. Our neighbors to one side are Denise & Pat with Radar their rescue dog. On the other side is Wayne with Roy that's a golden retriever service dog.
Allan Edwards & Patty joined us at Woodman's for dinner! Allan and Kevin have been friends since college. He will explore the area with us tomorrow.

Our day started at Wingaersheek Beach. The boardwalk sand is white, similar to Gulf Shores, and for the first 30 yards of the beach. Then it turned into a densely packed beach where the tide comes in and out. Albert wanted to run and leep but it is a leash only beach. He played in the tide as it lightly rolled in. We met Trish and Joe that live here. She asked is Albert was a Schoodle, only the second person ever in our camping travels. She had one previously ❤️
On to Rockport to meet Allan and walk around the art district and look at the boats going out to the sea. Much conversation, a shopping stop at the Floating Lotus, and a couple of pictures. We're all ready to motor on and site see. Albert was glad to be home for a rest while we went out for one more experience.
We headed for the Crow's Nest that was featured in the movie Perfect Storm. Ha, it's definitely as depicted in the movie. A bar dive with food and a pool table. We looked through the photo album about the actual storm that sunk the Andrea Gail fishing boat. We met Greg, a regular there, and other fishermen captains that were hanging at the bar.
Back to the camper for a fire pit and visiting with neighbors. Wayne and
Roy joined us at the fire pit for long conversation that ended in a time of prayer. Perfect way to end a delightful day.
