Meadowlark RV Park

Today was jam packed! After watching church online, we visited the beach at the Purgatory Chasm. Only one person was surfing but people were walking near the water. Across the way the St George's School, founded in 1898 as an Episcopal boarding school, sat high on the hill over looking the ocean. It is a co-ed boarding and day school with a college prep program as well. The shore drive has many mansions to see,

The shopping district at the wharf was a perfect place to sit to people watch. Albert and I rested on a bench while Kevin looked around. A nice man asked if he could join me and of all things his name is Albert! He and his wife are from Long Island and on a New England Princess cruise that stopped in Newport. From there we went down the way to eat a light lunch at the Surf Shack by the shore. Nicole was a very sweet waitress. Albert was happy to enjoy a pup cup off the menu😊 We drove over to Goat Island to look at the big sail boats and yachts!

We visited the historic windmill site before arriving back home to the NoBo. So much to see in a short time! Whew, we're happy we explored but glad to put our feet up.
